Assalamulaikmu guys, so now I'm going to talk about the issues of sustainable development. As we all know sustainable development not only have benefits but it is also has their issues going on. In my hometown in Kuantan, they were a lot of shopping mall in the city area. This issue has been worrying me because when there was a lot of building, they will be a lot of pollution especially light pollution because, at night, I cannot really see the shining star in the sky because of the tall building lights.
On the left is East Coast Mall and on the right one is Kuantan City Mall. From the pictures above, we can see that the buildings are very huge and full of people. Moreover, the shopping malls cause air pollution in the town because many people went there with their own transport and due to that they were a lot of gas being released from their cars or any kind of vehicle.
The picture above shows the air pollution that happened in Kuantan. It is very worrying because people need to breathe clean air and not polluted air because it can cause severe breathing problems especially to the people who have asthma. Besides that, the other issue regarding sustainable development is a lot of people like to litter everywhere they go especially in the city area because it was the main attraction. Many people come to ECM and KCM and not only from Kuantan but they are also people that live outside Pahang that go there. This is also the factor that leads to environmental pollution where people litter the trash without feeling guilty. Moreover, the beach area is also a place that full of trash. The picture below shows the beach, Pantai Sepat that is polluted by people who come there. Therefore, this issue should be handled in a good and wise way so that Kuantan will be a place that free of pollution. Everyone should play their role in making Kuantan a clean and harmonious place.
